Automation at the service of the climate
For this project, Inflow mobilized its expertise as an automation agency:
- Automatically collect data from multiple open sources (social media, local press, video platforms).
- Integrate an industrialized processing pipeline in Python.
- Orchestrate flows on a recurring basis, with continuous updating of data sets.
This approach provides reliable, contextualized information to complement the quantitative indicators already monitored by the local authority.
The added value of AI
The core of the system is based on artificial intelligence selected according to demanding criteria:
- Ethics: transparency, data protection, and accountability.
- Robustness: ability to analyze short texts, sometimes ambiguous or ironic.
- Reliability: consistency and stability of results over time.
This AI automatically detects the themes evoked and the dominant emotions. Intelligent automation that transforms a mass of raw text into directly actionable insights.
Clear and interactive reporting
At the end of the chain, all results are visualized in a modern and interactive Microsoft Power BI dashboard. This business hypervision tool allows the Urban Community teams to:
- view data in real time,
- identify emerging trends,
- and gain a consolidated view of changing local perceptions.
This dashboard perfectly illustrates the purpose of an automation agency: to make complex information accessible, readable, and usable, without any additional effort on the part of end users.
Uses that go beyond climate
While this initial application concerns the Climate Plan, the approach opens up numerous possibilities. The automation agency Inflow has already identified several cases where social listening and AI can become strategic levers:
- Public communication: better understand the impact of an institutional campaign on residents and adjust messages accordingly.
- Crisis management: monitoring weak signals (social media, online press) in real time during a sensitive event and helping decision-makers adapt their response.
- Regional marketing: analyzing perceptions of a region (tourism, economic attractiveness) and identifying levers that strengthen its image.
- Private sector: monitor the reputation of a brand or product, anticipate consumer trends, and identify competitive opportunities.
- Non-profit sector: understand the expectations of citizens or donors to enhance the relevance of awareness-raising or fundraising initiatives.
In all these cases, the combination of automation, AI, and data storytelling transforms simple conversations into real decision-making indicators.
With this project, Inflow demonstrates the role that an automation agency can play in supporting both public and private clients. By integrating reliable and responsible AI components, we help organizations become more responsive, strategic, and operationally efficient.
